The bears would do fine. make playoffs, they in bad divison, they can win the divison in their sleep. Ian Scott was average, we got another average DT guy. Tommie Harriss will be good to be back and mike brown. urlacher will do good, mark anderson will be a beast along with alex brown and Adewale Ogunleye. offense berrain and muhammad will do good. benson should do good and bears need to another RB step up to be the shortage yard guy. oline is healthy and still good and have it in them, rex have more experience and need to stop panicking when there is outside blitz coming right at him. He will step up and make big plays and be more consistant. special team unit will be among the best. Hester will return another one despite teams will kick away from him majority of the time. robbie gould becoming one of the top kicker. only thing that will bring them down is the injuries to an impact players on defense

Running backs are almost interchangable parts. They also take a beating and wear down quickly. Thomas Jones may already be on the downside of his career, and Cedric Benson is talented, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Lance Briggs is just a linebacker. In the 4-3, unless he's a really, really special player (Urlacher, Adalius Thomas) he's pretty much an interchangable part, too. Not to mention only sees the field one or two downs per series. As long as the Bears have a solid D-line they don't have to worry about linebackers.

With that said, it brings up Ian Scott, who is the one guy that might worry me if I were a Bears fan. Between his possible departure and Tank Johnson's jail sentence, they could lose one of their starting DTs from last year and have the other arrive out of shape and unprepared, if in time for the season at all. That could mean bad news, and make the loss of Briggs look worse than it really is. Adam Archuletta was brought in, and could be very effective at the OLB spot with a good D-line in front of him, but not with an average or poor D-line.
