Can you get a tourist visa for Greece if you are in the US and you are not a US citizen? Do you have do get the visa in your home country?

If you have permanent resident status in the US, you won't have a problem applying for a visa through the Greek embassy in the US. However, I'm not sure what happens if you don't have this status and are just visiting the US. That might mean you have to deal with the Greek embassy in your home country (Or it might not!)

I've been to Greece a couple of times. I had a valid passport. They stamped it when I showed up at the airport. I guess they could make you do a u-turn. I'd call the embassy.

not sure what the regulations are for the passport you're using. as regards to a US passport (mine) there's a single get admission to stamp for holiday everywhere in the european that's valid for ninety days. however the equivalent of the State branch out of your united states of america must be waiting to grant you the final information.
