I'm just wondering cause they seem so cool. But I don't want to get a virus over something that may not be so great. Alot of people have it and they say it works perfectly and that there comptuer is working fine. Should I try it out?

Most of the time, people who get stuff like that over the internet have a virus on their computer but they don't notice it. A lot of the time, it's not a virus that messes with their computer directly, and it's actually a tiny program that keeps track of which keys they type on their keyboard and sends it to an advertising company over the internet. They can steal valuable information from you just when you or your parents type stuff on your computer. This kind of thing is called a keylogger.

Other things like Adware and Spyware might get installed onto your computer. Adware and Spyware keep track of what sites you go to and they are running all the time. They use up computer memory resources and slow down your processing power that could be used to do regular things.

I'd be careful with IMVU and ZWINKY. If you really want it however, just go ahead and download them. After you stop using IMVU and ZWINKY just get a virus scan program and scan your computer for viruses, trojans, spyware, and adware. Your computer might get damaged but so is everyone else's. You'll just have to waste $1000 to get a new one if the spyware damaged your computer too much. Everyone wastes their computers this way and they always end up buying new ones because they were too stupid to be careful of what they download.

Are you talking about computer viruses? That seems a bit likely. I have no comment to make here, since I am unsure about what you are talking about. -Steve
