I am 21 years old, average weight and average height.

Last year and the years prior to that, I had been having a Blood Pressure of approximately 110/80. In the months following until now, I had been under considerable stress and started to notice that it had dropped to a low of 95/55. It's been that way ever since. I don't understand the cause for it, and though I feel quite fine - no dizzy spells, no fainting, no lethargia except on nights when I don't sleep much - I don't know if this is something I should worry about.
I am young but I am not as active as I used to be when my BP was within the normal range.
So, should I be worried? What sorts of signs and symptoms should I keep an eye out for? What could be the possible causes?

Just to add, I have been eating well, my diet hasn't really changed except I think I've integrated more fruits and vegetables into my diet.
My height and weight are not a problem - 5'5 135lbs.

Also, unfortunately I am definitely not in my top shape, and the physical activity I have engaged in this year should for sure not be enough to change my blood pressure "so drastically".

Even though 95/55 is kind of low it's still normal. You have nothing to be worried about if you feel fine. How are you eating? Sometimes if you eat unhealthy or don't eat enough you're blood pressure will get low. As long as it's over 90/50 then your fine. If you are worried go to the doctors. But they'll say the same thing that i'm saying it's normal and you have nothing to be worried about.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

go to a doctor..explain what has been happening.
i'm not a doctor..but my guess is that is has something to do with your sodium and potassium balance.
are you on a very low salt diet?
do you get enough potassium in your diet? ( orange juice, bananas, etc..)
95/55..is considered a tiny bit low..it's a normal blood pressure for athletes.
my blood pressure runs about 95 or 100/ 55 or 60...and i am 49 years old...but i work out..weight lifting etc.
the top number is called the systolic. ( 95)
the bottom number is called diastolic.( 55)
it is not serious..because you aren't having any dizzy spells etc...
but i feel you should have it checked by a doctor ( for your own peace of mind)..
when was the last time you went in for a check-up?
finally..if at all possible..try to reduce the stress in your life....
that's the most important thing you can do.
take care.

How are you measuring your blood pressure? If you're using one of the automated machines at the pharmacy or Wal-Mart, you should know that they are not always that accurate. Going from 110/80 to 95/55 is a pretty big change (especially without any weight loss or lifestyle modifications). If you're concerned (and it sounds like you are), your best bet is always to consult with your physician. You should be getting a physical every year anyway, so be sure to bring it up with your doctor then.

Two distinct possibilities:
1 you are in excellent shape, many athletes have BP's in this range, if your pulse is around 50 to 80 bpm on average this would be consistent.
2: A valve in your heart is going and you are heading for heart failure, a high pulse rate (over 90 bpm) and or palpitations would be indicative of this.
