I have a macbook pro, lithium-polymer battery.

Does the computer draw power from the supply cord when plugged in, or does the supply cord feed the battery where the computer still runs itself from the battery?

If you know in general that will help too. Thanks.

The power is directly from the cord. You can actually remove the battery. Having the battery is good in case of a power interruption. The computer switches sources instantly.

When the computer is plugged into the AC mains it will recharge the battery too. The computer will only use the battery when the AC is not plugged in.
