Reality is what makes perception possible. Perception is a projection of reality.

Perception is personal experience.
Each of two (or more) people may
"have" a uniquely personal experience
through one's own set of senses
(taste, touch, sight, hearing, smelling, sixth).
That is perception to which is added interpretation.
When interpretations are shared with others,
sometimes a match occurs, sometimes not.
When in agreement, that is a "shared reality"
(n.a., n.d.).

My reality and that of another person
is more likely to differ (if even ever so slightly)
than not.

Here is an example:
I called my dad out to the front porch to see
some UFO(s). He said, "Thems not UFO(s),
thems airplanes." I said, "Well...until you told
me that...well, they were UFO(s) to me!"
I also noticed that this well-educated and
cultured man was expressing his opinion
of my "lack of knowledge" by using the word,
"thems."

I then amended my reality by using his
expression of his perception and interpretation
and concluded (to myself, as one does not
argue with one's father): Those airplanes
do not seem to be flying, as I can't see that
they are moving. Maybe they are planets
or stars or something like that.

So, to give one of the many answers you
are going to get: Reality is perception.

First there is the fact that in any moment your mind can only really focus on some of the things that you are looking at. To see what i mean look outside. Notice that you tend to focus on certain things more than others. Maybe you are drawn to the sun, or the buildings, you will notice certain details, but obviously not all of them. So in this sense, we automatically filter our sense perceptions based upon our habits. This translates to what you notice about people, or situations as well. So what you choose to focus on in a siutation will be what you notice from it.

So was the girl dogging you or was she just staring off into space? its all how you take it!!

YES! The deeper it is, the better & closer to reality it is !
(And, way beyond even the sensory perception levels !)

Perception is an interpretation of sensory images that we think of as reality.

No, reality is emptiness. Everything you can experience is perception. It is just your perception. When you take "you"/"me" away from it, there is emptiness, and that is reality.

But emptiness is very, very different from nothingness.
