I don't really want to do snack machines becuase he siad to use that as a last resort...also It can be as long as I want and all that stuff. No limits.

umm i would choose 1 of the three
abortion- there are a quite a few things to say about both pros and cons how its a woman's choice to do what she wants not the governments choice and then you can talk about how its wrong (I'm however pro choice)
death penalty- again quite a few things to speak about on that subject its not gods will for man to kill man NO matter what the crime to god a sin is a sin or how killing them would end their suffering apposed to making them rot in jail but than again some of them do not deserve to live but is it our choice to kill them? maybe it is if they are repeat offenders
immigration- this country was based and founded on immigration and that this country does not belong to anyone person or persons' but then again times are very different in the kinds of weapons and so its much easier for terrorists to attack us
i think these three subjects are the best to talk(write) about because this is what we as a country are dealing with right now and are very controversial and can go both ways

Write about something you really have something to say in. When I had to do those kind of essays, I chose a topic where I knew alot about it and I had alot of opinions about it.
Abortion is a big one. There are many sides to abortions so you can write about what you think and what others may think about it. Plus, abortion has soooo much information all over the place. The library, the internet, books and magazines are full of abortion information. It's probably the easiest & most controversial.

It depends on how controversial you want to be. Abortion is a really hot issue. Will it cause too much heat? How much research do you want to do? There's a lot of arguments out there on the death penalty, so it would be easy to research for ideas. If you want to keep it light, go for snack machines. It all depends on how much work you are willing to do and how controversial you are willing to be. Good luck

well it was easy for me to write why kids should not start smoking!
how long does it have to be?
u could put figurtive language in ther and stuff
write about somthing u have more knowledge to and u can think of good ideas like kids shouldnt smoke cause it costs them a fortune --- I used a hyperbole(exaggeration)
