Will the President(?) be successful at his Veto, or does congress have a trick up its' sleeve?

The people will ultimately win. The clock is running out on the Bush Administration and his (R) allies. Inevitably we will leave Iraq. If we get out through binding legislation prior to the expiration of his term, it will be because his (R) counterparts realize the will of the people. If not, a (D) will surely become President and the (R) will suffer another huge defeat in House and Senatorial races. The new President's first priority will be to exit Iraq--post haste.

Nobody will win the debate. We are at a stalemate on the issue. The funding will probably be rewritten and voted on again at a later time. Right now, the Pres will veto the bill, and Congress doesn't have enough votes at the moment to override, so it is dead in the water.

Win the bill? I don't know, but you and I will pay it. So if the dems add any pork to it, it should be vetoed.
