Well it's not supposed to be right to say God's name in vain.
Some people can get offended by it, especially if they're religious, and according to the Bible, it's wrong. Plus what's wrong with saying "Oh my Go-sh" instead of God? It's like one extra sounding syllable.

If you are christian, then you know about the 10 commandments. The second of the 10 commandments says "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain" (Ex. 20:7) Which means that you will not use Gods name as a curse word or an exclaimation.
Put simply, you are not supposed to say "God" unless you are talking to God or about God to someone.

It all depends on whether you see it as taking the lords name in vain. I say it and don't feel I am saying anything wrong but there are others who are religious that would be offended. If I know I am speaking to a religious person and even towards strangers I tend to watch my words but in general it doesn't concern me.

It really depends, it could be offensive to people who are really religious, because it's a sin to take the Lord's name in vain. If your an avid church goer, or believe in God then I'd say yes, since I'm Christian, it's offensive to me, but if your not Christian, don't go to church, etc..then I would really worry about it to much.

If you believe in God, and you do say 'oh my god' instead of
'oh my gosh', it's like cursing.
Either way, I think it's distasteful for young kids to be saying such things. It shows lack of discipline on the parents behalf.

The bible says not to use god's name in vain. If you believe in god and the bible, don't do it. I guess if you said "gosh" but meant "god" I bet he would still notice.
