Go see a contract lawyer, I believe contract law beyond any "Models" abilities sweetie, as evidenced by your asking this very important career choice question in freakin' Yahoo Answers.....

That depends on the terms and conditions of the contract you signed. Some of them don't have any type of an "escape clause"; others provide for a release with written notice in a certain time frame and/or upon payment of a certain amount.

The best thing would be to either read the contract yourself (there should be a clause entitled something like" termination of agreement" or similar), or have an attorney who specializes in entertainment law read it for you.

It all depends on what your contract said. Usually the reason for signing with a modeling agency is that you are bound to model just for them. I know in my old contract, I could take other jobs however, the agency was to be notified of the job and could take "royalties" for being used outside of my contract with them. Your image literally belongs to them now and they have to give permission to anyone who wants to use your image.

Ask the agent that you signed with if they will release you. Usually if you are making them good money they are not going to release you without monetary compensation.
