Why are thin people like myself constantly asked about "why we are so skinny" when no one can go up to a big person and ask the same question. I don't think we can blame this all on society.

I agree - I have had the same thing happen to me and it is just as hurtful to be asked "Do you eat?" as it is "Why don't you lose some weight?"
People should think twice before they criticise skinny girls as it can sometimes be the same as a bigger person - a weight problem!

You are so right. Obviously we take care of our bodies and the fat people dont (except for medical reasons). I have 3 kids and have been told Im "lucky", and you know, its not "luck". Its motivation and hard work, sure some are naturally thin, Im not one of them. I lost 20lbs because I ate right, excercised and overall changed my lifestyle habits. Its just as rude to tell a thin person she's too thin and to eat something as it is to tell a fat person to put the turkey leg down. I do eat, I eat right, I eat junk too but not excessively. Difference is Im not too thin, My BMI is in the normal healthy range while those who are overweight are not. So, why are the food scavengers giving us advice on weight?

Being fat or big in our society is comsidered bad, or not good or something. Being thin is considered a good quality to about 70 percent of our society. So if they ask you how much you weigh when you are thin, it isn't coming off as an insult since being thin is a good trait in a lot of minds. A fat person being asked about thier weight seems wrong becuase being fat to some is considered to not be good, so thats why.

That is like asking a person that has extreme acne looking at them in the face and saying you have a bump on your face.

... cuz it's not fair ... you'll eventually figure out that there's lots of stuff in life that's not fair ... and it's a waste of breath to ask why ... because there is no answer other than "cuz it's not fair" ... get past it and get on with your life ... silly goose ...

Because anorexia kills people when they are very young. Their organs shut down and the person dies.
