I would think he's proof that the Shadow Gov't is entirely independent of the popular vote. Or for that matter, the electoral college. Ever wonder why we never see ANY decent candidates from ANY parties? With so many really good CEO's out there, HOW can this be the best of the best???

Your parents lack an understanding of U.S politics. The Executive branch has been controlled by the same families for the past three decades. Bush Sr. was elected Vice president in '80 and '84, he became president in '88. "Slick" William Clinton was elected president in '92 and '96. Bush Jr. was elected in 2000 and '04. Hillary Clinton is a strong candidate for the next election. Gore was vice president for eight years and is likely to run as well. Do you see a pattern here? Only people born into the right, white southern protestant, family can be elected. No president since John F. Kennedy has lacked any of these qualities.

No, it is an example that if your father was a mulitmillionaire former President from a well connected family, who got you into Yale and Harvard you can become President even though you were a spoiled child, mediocre student, incompetent buninessman, an iresponsible drinker and drug abuser arrested for drunk dirving and disorderly conduct.
Also, if you have Karl Rove run your campaign.

How? He came from a wealthy family. He went to Yale as an undergrad and got better grades across the board than Kerry. He was accepted and to Harvard and earned an MBA there. How do you figure that he's "anybody?" Anybody with money, an influential family in politics, with Yale and Harvard degrees THEY can be President. You and I will never be and we're better examples of "anybody" than Bush is.

Then why aren't you the president? Why am I not the president? Why isn't anyone on here that thinks they can do a better job than Bush the president?

Maybe the saying should be changed to "anyone can grow up to be a polotician".
But since his father was President, he had a good advantage of becoming one anyway.

Actually, no.
It certainly is an asset when your daddy was a president and you are a multi-millionaire.
