I dont know exacltly what symbol your taking about but if you hold down Alt then a number or a combenation of number like if you do ,
(Alt then 3 that = â¥

Hi, try holding down the alt key. Whilst holding it, type 0174 on your keypad (make sure numlock is on). Now let go of your alt key, and you should have ®

char map is a start, but sometimes it is difficult to find certain symbols (like an upside down exclamation point) for instance
this website lists a bunch of different ones and you can just simply highlight them and copy them!
