I had French relatives, but they had many characteristics of the majority of Italian people. They had dark hair, dark eyes, and tan skin, and they lived in Southern France and had a name that is used in Italy, France, and Spain. I want to consider myself Italian instead of French, as many people don't like the French, and I tried telling people that I ws part French, but they laughed and called me a sally and coward. Nobody really makes fun of the Italians.

Unless you know for sure your French relatives are Italian or have Italian blood, you are French. I really don't understand what you mean by they "look Italian". Italians can have dark hair, eyes, and skin but can also be blond with light colored eyes. Heck, I even know Italians that have red hair. I also know French people who are dark and French people who are light. Every nationality is made fun of....even Italians!

I live in Italy, and work in a hotel (we get a lot of French clients).
