Doesn't matter to me, but it's just as wrong to vote FOR a person because of thier gender or race, as it is to vote against them based on that.

My vote is going to the most qualified candidate I can find. I don't believe that's Hillary, but that doesn't rule out all women ever. Barrack is interesting, and I'd like to hear more of what he's got to say. Unfortunately, I'm afraid the Republicans would crush him in a general election- the last presidential election proved just how ignorant the midwest still is. Bush won on promises of spurning gay people and mexicans. The folks who voted for him will turn out in droves to vote against a black man who's father was muslim. It's unfortunate, but I'm afraid it's true. He might take the Democratic Primary, but once the Republican's have a vote he'll fall. Personally, I like Edwards. Not because he's a white guy, I liked him better than Kerry in the last one. At the moment my vote is split between Edwards and Obama. I'd like to vote Republican, but I'm just not seeing anyone strong enough to lead the country- the current batch of Republican Candidates all followed Bush like show dogs in heel. McCain looked good, but then started flip-flopping, and ruined everything I liked about him last time he ran.

I would have no problem with a Black president as long as he didn't show favoritism to his own race. Everyone is American and should be treated equally.
Also, a woman president might be okay, but it would seem a little weird. What's her husband going to be called? The first man instead of the first lady?
Plus women are more emotional than men and i'd be worried that emotions would get in the way of her judgement.

I'm not sure if having a female president is such a good idea. Females get very emotional. God forbid some chick from another country calls her fat. A nuclear war would be inevitable. I hope I'm wrong.

If there were a woman president than I would be one of the strong supporters. This would be another step for us, from property to being able to vote to congress to president.
The same goes for a black president. Even though I'm not black as long as there thoughts are like mine I'll be happy to let them rule (kinda) this country.

I wouldn't be surprised if either was elected. I have a concern about Barak Obama winning because some psycho out there might decide to kill him.
Isn't that why Powell didn't run?
A woman president would be fine also.
