When I look in the mirror im happy with what I see, I feel good about the way I look, I look at all sides of my face and I think "hey I look cute (not being all like OH YEAH I ROCK... I just think I look good" But then ill take a picture and Just look completely different, idk why but I have no idea what I look like, idk what to believe. I want to believe the mirror but the pictures are probably right, but I look UGLY in my pics so I take like fake ones where I only get my "good side" why does this happen were I have no idea what I look like?

The mirror gives you a backwards view of your face. The pictures are how other people really see you. It shouldn't be that much of a difference actually. When you stand beside someone else and the two of you look in the mirror, are you shocked as to what the other persons reflection looks like? No, they look the same. Your just not used to seeing yourself in the the perspective the camera takes the pictures.

your problem is sort of the opposite to my problem. I don't look that good in front of the mirror. Though, In photos I always look really pretty and nice. People say it's because I'm photogenic [ I don't know what the means]
Anyway, accept yourself for who you are your personality is the main thing that counts. I'm sure your nice looking, everyone has features that stand out.
And if it helps, models are always photographed on their good sides.
Have you noticed Paris Hilton always has the same side of her face showing in most photos? i think it's because she is trying to avoid her lazy eye showing up..

Not sure why it happens but I have the same problem, I take awful pictures most of the time and I just hate it. I have heard that everyone has a "good side" but for me, it doesn't matter what side it is, I just don't photograph well. Sounds like you have the same problem. Sucks doesn't it? lol

the pictures is the side of how people view you not the mirror. use yor imagination for a second and picture yourself stepping out of your own body then turn around-you dont see what you see in the mirror but you see what you see in pictures.

We tend to 'pose' in the mirror...meaning we contort ourselves to make ourselves look best! It's even worse when we try on clothes...try it. Trying to make a particular pair of jeans look good, you'll stick your foot out to elongate your leg or some other crazy thing! Pictures are random, no time to pose usually!

I have the same problem. Some people naturally look better on camera than others.That's what being photogenic is. You can practice your poses with a digital camera with your friends as the photographer.

yeah u know i have the same i look bad on picks but look cute in mirro.I think because you see your real reflection and when u picture you try to pose and sometimes it ruins your pick.
