I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks and am disappointed, but want to try again right away, my doc said okay, and I hear that fertility is higher right after a pregnancy, is that true?? A lot of women have been telling me that they got pregnant right away after their miscarriage. Can you all tell me similar or complete opposite experiences.....

I have heard that, I think it is in What to Expect While You are Expecting also. But I had a miscarriage in Dec, and I have been TTC since Jan, with no luck yet. It is probably more anecdotal evidence, rather than true medical phenomenon. I wouldn't get too excited about it!

I found out last week that I had suffered a 'silent miscarriage' and the dr suggested a D&C since the baby had died about 4 weeks prior and still hadn't evacuated. She told me that i will be extremely fertile after the procedure b/c it 'cleaned everything out' and it's fresh and new now.

We haven't started to try yet - she told us to wait at least 5-6 weeks before having relations again and personally, i'm not emotionally stable enough to be intimate with him just yet; nor do i think i'm ready to try again.

My best friend got pregnant (with a healthy pregnancy, Em is almost 1 now) the first time they did anything after her miscarriage and is pregnant with her 2nd.

The dr told me that 80% of women will suffer a miscarriage and the lucky ones just don't even know they are pregnant and think it's just an extra crampy cycle.

Good luck to you! :)

Yes you can! I got pregnant right away after I had my daughter-around the same time we resumed having sex as soon as the postpartum bleeding stopped. She(my now 4.5 year old daughter) was only 3 weeks old.
Go for it, and enjoy, and I pray that this time around you have a successful pregnancy and a healthy baby.
