Yes you can play sims online, with maxis' game The Sims Online
To Play this game you have to go to http://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Arts-The-Sims-Online/dp/B000067FDV
Then you can download a free trial, if you like it (which you should cause its amazing lol) then you can subscribe which only costs 9.99 a month, and to do that you go to the same website and click register on the left hand site of the web page
