Hi, I am mixed with puerto rican (just a little) im mostly Black, American Indian some White and then Pto Rican (afro-rican). And I didnt know about the Rican side until a few years ago cuz its on my dad;s side and he never talks about family history. Anyway, I've never been to a festival and am thinking about going to one in a few weeks, to help learn about my other culture and mingle with the crowd, and enjoy the music, eat some arroz con gandules and Im bilingual. Will I be accepted there???

Hey im a dark skin puerto rican... It depends on where your at and who you are around! I am accepted by some Puerto Ricans. My grandmother says im too dark and I've noticed alot of puerto rican grandmothers do this because they are set in there own ways. When I go to places in the south alot of people dont accept me for who I am and dont believe that Im boricua. Well I am and Im a damn proud one too. If people dont accept you then thats there problem. They are missing out on a great person.

Keep a positive attitude. If you go in feeling you won't be accepted people will pick up on your vibes.

I think you just wanted Yahoo Answers the whole pot of races that you're mixed with (looking for a date, maybe?)... But to answer your question, sure, why not?

If you want to be accepted tell yourself that, then tell it to others by letting them accept you.
