Oh yes! And a tiny little Hungarian lady lived there who always wore a dark flowered scarf and carried a broom. She must have had 10 cats. She looked just like a Kitchen Witch! Poor thing was too frail to take care of her house. The paint was peeling, shutters hanging by one hinge, dead trees, one single light at night.......very creepy to us kids....but sad now as I think back on it.

No, but now that I'm older (a teen) there is:
Two doors away from where I live, there is a very old apartment building that they started working on about 2 years ago. They gutted the front of the building to begin to add a front door for the garden apartment (the only front entrance was through two or three doorways that were located in the concrete stairs that lead to the upper apartments; it was boarded up and never finished), they added a few new windows, they began to take apart the screen doors (they have no screens and the hinges are rusty), and then they stopped working. The doors flap open and slam shut if we get strong winds, two of the windows are broken (I *think* a bum was sleeping in there for a while), the board in that new doorway is broken (I know that a few alley cats were in there during the wintertime), and sometimes there are kids and teens going into the upper level apartments for fun because someone managed to break a few windows that are next to the fire escape . (Around Halloween, we went inside there with a Ouija Board for the hell of it, and I know that there are frequently kids going in there to drink beer; it is in surprisingly good condition, considering how terrible that garden apartment is.) No one that lives in our neighborhood knows why there is no one trying to get the owners to finish up the project; this may have something to do with the fact that someone lined one of the new windows with re-election posters and I have a feeling that- especially since we live in a big city- there were quite a few bribes made here and there.

Not a spooky house but a spooky old lady who lived in a house. We all thought she was a witch and stayed clear of that house especially on Halloween. If we lost a ball or something that went into her yard, we knew we would never see it again.

Yes. There is a house accross the street fromus where two people were murdered about 10 years ago. The next family that moved in, the stepfather was molesting his stepdaughter's. two more families have lived there since then, and they both divorced after just a few months living there. There is currently a preacher and his wife and two kids living ther now, and just recently, his wife left him and his kids for another man. That house is cursed.

Yeah we used to call it the witches house because it had trees growing up around it and all kinds of stuff... one day me and my friends went walking around it and there was like rusted little bikes in the backyard and jars old like animal parts in the windows. And there was always a big orange van parked in the drive way but all windows were covered with different stuff.... It was really creepy I am almost 22 years old and I still won't go past that house! (And the van is still there!)

the house 4 homes down from mine with the crooked chain-link fence and overgrown hedges. They had this really big dog that would just smell you coming by on a bike and chase you down through the fence.
Even when the dog wasn't out in the yard, there was always a very tense vibe to that place, and I didn't even like LOOKING at it when I had to pass.
