Madame Royale, the Daughter of France survived the terror of the Revolution alone of her immediate family. She married a cousin, a son of either Louis XVIII or Charles X and lived an unhappy life as a Duchesse (de Angouleme?). Marie Therese wrote her memoirs before her death and expressed bitterness at her life. As a child she expressed dislike toward her mother, but adored her father, Louis XVI.
