my keyboard turns off and my mouse moves with a LONG delay! (I have a laptop that is docked on a docking station) If I use the laptop touch-pad while it is on the docking station, it works no problem, same with the keyboard of the laptop while on docking station, but the external mouse and keyboard don't work correctly unless I completely restart my computer again. So my question is, anyone know why this happens or how to fix it?

Hi,

"The shortest path between two dots is a straight line" ;). What I'd suggest is you turn off your screensaver completely (or at least change it to some other screensaver). Other than that, I'd suggest you look into the Power-Save features of your laptop, since it sounds as if it's entering a sort-of "sleep" mode.

Regarding you external mouse and keyboard, if they're USB based, than that might be the problem, since some laptops turn off most of the USB ports to conserve power (every USB port requires some minor electricity to remain active). Again, look for details under your Power-Save settings to find out if there's anything to be done there. Without the specifics of your laptop, this is all I can help.

Sorry if this isn't enough,
TK

Your computer is going to sleep, and a lot of peripherals don't work right when the computer wakes up. Go into power management in the control panel and disable sleep and hibernate.
