What is the purpose of the clown and Frankinstin in "the sims" livin' large?

and how do you get to them in the play mode?

I know the clown can do two things:

1. Appear at a party
2. If you stare at the Clown Picture and your Sim is lonely, then the clown will come out and annoy you.


Frankenstein:

Frank can come out when you drink a certain potion. I had one of my Sims get this, and I believe when you get this, they wreck the house and you can do nothing to stop them.

Well, they just make the Sims game more fun (clown) and scary(frank). The clown will appear when you throw a party( that's in Sims House Party) or if a Sim is very lonely. The Frankenstein will appear whne a Sim drank a potion that has a certain color (i think it is violet) from the laboratory that you can buy in the buy mode.

The clown is an annoying character when your character's life get worse. He is very annoying so you better have a good life or else... The Frankenstein is created when your character drinks a potion from the Chemical table (I forgot the item's name) The frankenstein is always make things in your house go wrecked.
