i'm trying to uninstalll mcafee security center . the question is , how long does it take to finish ? its been going about an hour now . where it say removal status it had'nt moved a bit . help me figure this out please . thank you

its trying to unstall the thing called undefined . i believe its stuck .

Are you using MacAfee's own uninstall program or the Windows uninstaller? McAfee and Nortons really are a pain to uninstall, they both leave lots of files in the registry. You may want to check out the McAfee website, they may have a removal tool to make it easier.

First, download the appropriate McAfee removal tool (MCRT for everything, or just the uninstaller for the specific components) from
Download the replacement security programs and save them so you can install them offline. Disconnect from the internet, and close down all McAfee programs, starting with Security Center. Then run the uninstall tool. Reboot, install your replacement security programs, and only then reconnect to the internet to update them.

takes less than 5 minutes to uninstall. good choice in getting rid of it. it must be frozen up. turn the power off and then back on and try uninstalling it again.

Maybe it freeze up! try to cancel it and do it over.
