Brother or sister? Not a good idea, mostly illegal around the world. First cousins can be difficult too, depending on laws and social structures of where you live but for the most part second cousins and beyond are higher on the OK ratings. Love is great but what will it do to your families? How close are you? Where does your religion stand on this? You might not be such social outcasts, check it out.

I think it's OK in Tennesee, Kentucky, West Virginia and Alabama but it tends to make the Family potlucks a bit confusing also your family tree would be left without any branches just a trunk. And I think in philosophy class that is not what they meant when they asked "is love just relative." to the people in Tennesee, Kentucky, West Virginia and Alabama- I'm sorry if I affended you but then again maybe if you felt affended YOU SHOULDN"T HAVE MARRIED YOUR RELATIVE, besides I meant to have just said Arkansas and England!

In the state of California it is legal to marry your first cousin. I used to work in an office where they issued marriage licenses.
There are many countries in the middle east that marrying a close relative is preferred.

Having sex with a relative? Why would anyone want to have sex with a relative? Is this not called incest? Would you not be catering to the wiles of the Devil? Well, social ramifications aside, from a reproductive standpoint it is very dangerous. Inbreeding can cause any number of genetic abnormalities and is entirely unfair to the child.

1) you cant marry ur relative b/c its illegal
2)because you are realted, the chance of getting HIV, AIDS, or herpes is greater than 510% from having sex
3) even if you had sex, she carried the child sucessfully, and gae birth, the chances of having a normal child is about 300,000,000,000,000 to one. you would end up with a severely retarded, disfigured, and paralyzed baby. leave her alone is ur best bet, and get caught up in another woman.

It's not taht you can't. It's the fact that your child could possibly come out handicapped if you are too closely related, per se a brother and sister.
