Your ram usage changes millions of times per second. The OS doesn't reserve ram for applications like in the old days. It reassigns it dynamically.

If you have Windows XP Pro then you can go to start >> run. Type in the text box "perfmon". You can check out many different resources from there. Ctrl+i will allow you to add a new monitor. Then under performance object choose "memory" and under select counters you can choose "available memory" and in what size increments.

If you don't have XP Pro there is a nifty monitor tool called FreeMeter -

Hi,

You don't need a specific application to tell you how much RAM you have free (left). CTRL+ALT+DEL (opens up the Task Manager), Click on the Performance tab, which has the details of the RAM you're using and the quantity free.

the computer itself have their own tracking software on how much the memory usage is, you can go to the control panel,or you can use the task manager to see how much memory are remaining. or you can go to www.simtel.net to downlaod the monitoring software you needed,simply go to the category you needed. thank you and i hope this will help you solving your problem.
