In the Tigers-Nationals recap, it said " Nationals 2B Felipe Lopez was taken out of the lineup today because of a stiff neck" he's on my fantasy team, and that line both worries me and intreagues me, because he only has eligibility for Short Stop at the moment, will that change, or was it just a typo?

According to yahoo sports he has played games in his carreer as a 3b, 2b, and ss. It isnt a typo however the majority of his games have been played as a short stop. Your fantasy league might only allow him as a short stop because the majority of his games were played in that position.

Lopez will start the season with only SS eligibility, but after he playes 5 games ( which he should do after the 1st week) he will be listed as 2b also. You will be able to use him at either position you want. Even if he never plays SS he will remain eligible there like Soriano last year who started out listed at 2b and added OF later even though he played evry game in the OF.
