Where have you been? There has been overspending in a divided nation for 14 years. The only differences were that we had a technology boom under Clinton and a recesion under Bush? BTW...you can thank Bill Gates and the like for the 90's. An economist once said, the best thing that Clinton did for the economy was nothing. Presidents have very little policy control over GDP. As for division, we have been bouncing from 50-50 to 60-40 and back again for decades. I suspect that is not about to change any time soon.

Over the last 100 years, the liberals have buried their heads in the sand, tried to avoid two world wars, lied and ignored the Holocaust, and tried " talking” to our enemies and not gotten anywhere. In the two world wars, we were forced into them by world events, namely the Luscitania and Pearl Harbor.
We have had Presidents, Like Carter, who talked good, but left Americans as hostages in Iran. Talk is cheap and sometimes, whether we like it or not, we have to stand up and fight for the rights we sometimes ignore.
You can call it right wing, Hawkish, or what ever you want; you cannot rationalize with a drunk, or terrorists who hate us no matter what we do. NO ONE on the left has came out with a plan to deal with terrorism, except, " pull out of Iraq".
My next question is, what will we do when we are attacked again, and WHO will take the blame when they follow our troops home??
If you can get them to answer, go for it, but they won’t say a word, because they don’t have a plan and they don’t have answers.
Freedom is not free and over 230 years, Americans have paid the price so that people like you can run your mouths without being arrested and put into prison for being subversive. Because of the blood they shed, news papers and the media can say pretty much what they want, even thought they know it’s false.
Thank a soldier for your right to show how stupid the left really is. Too far left and too far right makes it wrong. America is a great nation, but we must stand for what we believe, or when the terrorist come knocking, either convert it Islam, or die.

overspending is a right wing policy???????????????????????????????????????? Overspending has been criticized by EVERY true right wing conservative against the republicans. The liberals are classic tax and spenders. I think you need to go relook at the agendas of the right and the left.
As soon as this nation goes more left then right, esp in terms of gvt control and the courts this country is seriously screwed. Most people are still more right then left and so we have some freedoms and control left of our own lives in terms of gvt control. Hand your lives over to the liberals and they will take away all your freedom and money to provide what they feel is in your best interest. That is when real freedom is gone.

Yes the Republicans seem to want a Corporate Monarchy.
bigmikejones -- Oh you paranoid little patriot. 7.000 nuclear bombs, the most advance military in the world and you are afraid of being invaded!
Let's see. The World Trade Centre was bombed by al Queda which were led by a Saudi and supposedly hiding in Afghanistan and you invade Iraq on a pitiful set of lies put forward by you government - No WMD -- no terrorists linked to al Queda -- and you think that Bush is fighting terrorism. This government is degrading all the lives lost in 9/11.

You're blaming division on right wing policies? Why don't both liberals and conservatives share the blame on divisiveness?

No, just what do you propose to do with all that money? Put it in your pocket like Clinton did? If it's not used for it's purpose, then it's wasted.
