In the Tigers-Nationals recap, it said " Nationals 2B Felipe Lopez was taken out of the lineup today because of a stiff neck" he's on my fantasy team, and that line both worries me and intreagues me, because he only has eligibility for Short Stop at the moment, will that change, or was it just a typo?

The Nationals have both Josh Wilson (who they are pretty high on) and Christian Guzman so they have been playing Lopez at 2nd to get these guys in the lineup.Lopez playing 2nd gives the team better defense and a little more offense than if they went with Lopez at SS and put these guys on the bench. He likely gets enough starts at 2nd early in the season to make him SS and 2nd base eligible very quickly. So Yes...he becomes a little more valuable on your fantasy team so no need to worry.

According to Wikipedia: Felipe López (born May 12, 1980 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican shortstop for Major League Baseball's Washington Nationals franchise.

Felipe Lopez is a multi position player but he came up in the Blue Jays organization as a SS, but because of the current status of the Nationals SS position with Christian Guzman occupying that posistion they chose to move him to second to get the most out of there talent. According to espn.com he is a second baseman and if Guzman got hurt would be the back-up SS.

I've watched Lopez play both positions when i go to Nats games and he seemed fairly comfortable, which is the key.
