My girlfriend is 7 months pregnant. Her dad is still beating on her. I tried to go over there and stop him but he beat me worse than her. I'm no weakling but this guy is huge, that's why she is afraid to leave and plus she has nowhere else to go. Is there a place for battered women is Mass that will allow me to go there too? Also she has some briuses on her stomach. Could the baby be hurt. She refuses to go to the hospital because she doesn't want to get her dad in trouble. What do I do?

You have to call authorities. This is abuse and he could have hurt is daughter badly, and he may have damaged his future grandchild and this child may be born with brain damage. It depends on how hard he hit her in the stomach. The police have to now about this because after a while of being beaten the victim can die because of a cracked skull or something to that nature, or she could be fed up and commit suicide. You really have to call for help. You shouldn't care if her father will hate her for it because it already looks as if he does. By asking for help here i can tell that you care for her and the baby so don't be a bystander and get help! you may be in shock, but shock doesn't help the victims! Would you rather see you gf safe and her father in jail for physical abuse, or would you rather be visiting her in ICU in the hospital every day or going to her funeral and knowing that her father hates you guts. I know I am a girl, but i would be scared out of my mind if I was her. You have to help her because it sounds you are all she has at this moment.

CALL THE COPS

as far as the battered women's shelters, they don't let men anywhere near them! They usually keep their addresses private as well and for good reason. YOu wouldn't want her dad to know which shelter she'd gone to and show up there would you? Most of the women there are shell-shocked and very fearful of any man. it's a safe haven. the downside is that if these women have male children above the age of about 10 or so, they make them go to a separate men's shelter, very sad.

I would suggest getting your parent's help on this one, see if they'll help take her in. it's their grandbaby, after all...

I would say call the police yourself. The beating has to stop, for your girlfriend's sake and that of the baby. The police or child protective services or family assistance or whatever they call it in Mass. will know what to do in the best interests of the baby and mom. Your girlfriend has been victimized by her dad to the point where she isn't thinking clearly, so it's up to you. Do it now.

hm........ It must be hard for you and her. the poor baby might be hurt. I will pray for you two actually you three.
any ways why is he mad at her? or is he just abusive? I hope she will understand and go to the hospital. I know she doesn't want to get her dad in to trouble but he is a grown man the poor baby is just a baby. maybe the baby will have problems when he/she comes out. Maybe he wont be able to go out and play like the rest do.

She has to go to the hospital. That is the only way to make sure the baby is ok. Remember it is not about you or her right now it is about the safety of the baby. And the only way to keep her and the baby safe is to get out of there. Get her to the hospital ( trick her if you have to) and they will help you out with somewhere to go. She doesnt have to say it was her dad, they will give you info as to where she should go to keep safe.
Good Luck and do the right thing, protect her and your child!

She needs to go to the hospital to get everything checked out. Call the police. To make sure that the baby is ok, she needs to go to the hospital or to an Urgent Care Center.

I hope everything turns out ok. Good luck!

Unfortunately, it's not uncommon for a father to abuse his children. However, it's not too late to take action. It doesn't matter if she's trying to protect her father by not wanting to go to the hospital or whatever, but I think you could help. You, or she, should go to the police and tell them about it. You need to convince her that it's best for her AND the baby if she admitted to his abuse. She's not thinking of her unborn children's best interest. she's putting her father's best interest first, and that's not right. It's possible that the baby is hurt, and you need to get it through your girlfriend's head to tell authorities. and get checked out. It's best to do it now than when it's too late.

I hope everything works out.

call the police.
this might seem outrageous, but you have a girl and a baby to protect...do what it takes.

if you're living in the house there might be someone who can help get you out of the situation too if you're a minor, but i'm not sure. do a google search.

there is definately somewhere she can go. if you call the cops it might help her understand the gravity of the situation. she needs out of there, pregnant or not.
