hi

got a few queries..

1) would like to go Mt Pinatubo for trekking/camping for one nite, anyone has experience with the logistics (e.g. need to pre-book packages at Angeles, or...?)

2) from around Clark, are there any buses/transportation to Banaue ? Say, at Dau Terminal ?

3) If my last stop in North Luzon is Sagada, to go back to Cebu, the fastest way is to take bus to Manila and fly back ?

thanks in advance !

hello

1) I trekked Mt. Pinatubo at the turn of the milleneum but that was with a group based here in Manila. However, I heard the local Dept. of Tourism office in that area have taken upon themselves to organize a Mt. Pinatubo Crater Tour. I suggest you take this. There are other outfits in Angeles who can give you cheaper prices but then you do so at your own risk. Also, please bear in mind that the Pinatubo climb is not something for beginners. If you haven't done any trekking before, it might turn out to be a waste of money. The link for the pre-book package is : http://www.wowphilippines.com.ph/Special/trek_pinatubo.asp

2) There are buses from Manila heading to Banaue (Dangwa, etc.) that passes by Dau but the problem with this is they are already full once they exit Manila. An alternative from boarding them in Manila would be to take a bus to Baguio and transfer there to a bus heading to Banaue. Transportation from Baguio to Banaue are as follows:

baguio-sagada bus: lizardo bus
terminal: behind the baguio centermall
trips: 5:30am to 1pm

alternative:
baguio-bontoc bus: d' rising sun bus
terminal: along magsaysay avenue, near the slaughter house
trips: 5:30am to 4pm

bontoc-sagada jeepneys: jeepneys
terminal: beside the walter clapp building
trips: 8:30am to 4pm

3) There is a Cebu Pacific flight from Clark every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday departing at noon. You can check and make booking via their website : http://www.cebupacificair.com
