Can you be gay at 14?

Okay, I'm strait.. But in my grade 8 class there are a few people that think they're gay.. But would they really know at 13 and 14? Just want peoples opinions

So you appear to be pretty clear on what your sexual orientation is. If that can be said about you, then why can't your friends also be sure of who they are? I like to think that we live in a more accepting society nowadays, so people are able to identify who they are more quickly. It took me a long time to figure out I was a lesbian because for the longest time, I had no idea what a lesbian was. 13 is a bit young but I knew at 14 for sure. Some people just go through a curiousity phase but you know if you are gay.

I think so...but there's probably quite a few people who pre-maturely label themselves that way. People change a lot during this age category...odds are, there are some who think themselves gay/straight and later decide something else.
