Ok, I had my first pregnancy doctors visit today... where they do the gyno exam, and all of that stuff. But my doctor was sick and she won't be able to see me until April 25th. I am 9 almost 10 weeks already and when i go to see her I will be 14 weeks... starting my 2nd trimester. I was wondering if it's ok to see the doctor that late for the first exam. I was looking foward to hearing the heart beat and things like that. But, is there anything I should be doing to insure that my 1st trimester goes ok? Already on prenatal vitamins, but since I haven't been examined or anything... should I be concerned if the baby is ok? How do i know if it's a tubal pregnancy..? I was looking foward to the doctor putting my worries away.... but it will be a while before i can see her... any ideas or information about what should be done? Thanks!

As long as your not having any cramping or anything then your baby is fine. Of course don't drink, smoke etc... Keep taking your vitamins and if you feel that there is something wrong then go to the hospital. You may not here the heartbeat when you go to the Dr. This is very normal because the baby may not be in a good place to be able to hear it. I was 11 weeks when I went to the Dr and she couldn't find the baby's heartbeat I was scared but then I went to get a sonogram and they detected it and everything was fine. If you want to get a sonogram early tell your Dr that your not sure of when your last missed period was and they will set you up a appointment to get one done that way you know for sure that everything is ok. Good luck

Due to no morning sickness and a severly irregular period I did not even know I was pregnant until I was 6 mos. So my first drs appointment was at the end of my second trimester. I am due any day know and my son is just fine. As long as you have been taking care of yourself, not smoking or drinking, eating healthy and taking your vitamins your baby should be fine. As far as having a tubal pregnancy you would know by now because you would have been in pain and having major complications by now. Good Luck and Congrats !!!

I didn't get my first appointment until I was 17 weeks pregnant.
Take your prenatal vitamins, rest often, try not to stress about it and just enjoy your pregnancy. Only thing I can say is if you feel you need to see someone right away either go to the ER or a department of health clinic in your city. Congrats and good luck to you

that's no longer too overdue, each so often some human beings do not locate out rapidly. i realized round 9 weeks that i became pregnant and that i scheduled my 1st appointment once i realized. the first examine up they sometimes take blood samples and in case your medical specialist needs to, your first ob/gyn exam. they're going to allow you to comprehend about taking prenatal supplements, eating ideal, getting relax and ingesting a lot of water. in case you've not examine a lot about being pregnant, like the do's and dont's, then ask even with you're uncertain about. Ask what your anticipated due date is, what you should devour and somewhat what you won't be able to devour. examine and relax as a lot as you are able to, even with the actual shown reality that you're practically finished with the first trimester, the 2d is likewise a time for relax. i wish this enables. Congratulations

Not a problem unless you are over 30 or have had prior miscarriages.
Other than having a good diet and taking prenatals, I can't think of anything else you could be doing.
