I've been to 12 countries and I'm interested in some areas I haven't been, i.e. I've never been to Central and South America (besides Mexico) or Africa, so I want to know what are some great travel areas in those continents.

Out of the 19 countries that I have visited, I would say that nearly each one has great benefits for people with different interests. For example, New Zealand is fantastic for people who love outdoor sports such as biking, hiking, and water activities. China is beautiful for those who love experiencing other cultures (and for those who have a friend/guide that speaks Chinese!). Italy is great for the dining experiences (there's an AMAZING vegetarian restaurant in Rome, plus so many others), Bahamas for the beaches, Canada for skiing, Israel for those who appreciate religious history...basically, every country has great advantages for certain types of people.

But since you asked for my favorite country, I absolutely love Austria. I loved all of the fantastic cafes and cappuccinos, Schonbrunn palace was stunning and picturesque, and the history of Vienna was incredibly fascinating. And as a musician, I thrived on all the music opportunities for me there. I saw a great opera, went to an intimate concert on a mountaintop, and was able to hear Mozart's music all over the city.

So, when you choose your travel itinerary, I would advise that you consider the interests are most important to you, and select a country that is better known for those interests. Most of all, though, have fun and stay in hotels with great locations!

I have been to Japan, Thailand, Peru, Mexico, Fiji, Canada, England, Germany, Italy, France, Egypt, Cook Islands, and China... and maybe some more in between. However, I loved them all equally and so it really depends on what you like and what you plan to do. But, since you asked, i guess I would have to say, go to Thailand, it is the most beautiful place in the world and is full of history and culture... along with really good food.
