you should use pump fakes and dribbles to get an open look and try to practice making your release quicker. then when you get a little bit of daylight you can fire your shot right over your man. you might also want to release the ball higher like above your head so that you can avoid getting blocked.

What the heck are these guys telling you? Pump Fake? A hand in your face isn't going to get a 'hand' out of your face.

What you need to do- is practice driving my man. If they are playing you that tight, just work on your 'handles' and go right aorund him.

Practice the fadeaway. It's a great shot. I don't use it a lot in games, but in street games, ect, I use it a lot. It's a good move.

Do my signature move. Pump fake them out of their shoes, and then drive past them. if there is a guy after them, just pull up and take the jump shot. if you dont have that oppurtunity, try a fadeaway. it takes a while to get used to, but it works amazingly well. last but not least, do the most clever trick in the book. pump fake, but when they are about to land, jump into them and take the jump shot. 99 out of 100 times they will call the foul, and it gets the defender really annoyed.

If you are a good open shooter guys are gonna respect your J so will play tight D on you. Work on your handles so you can drive past them therefore they cant overcompensate by playing too close and will give you enough room to launch your J.

that is a good question. i used to have the same problem. either you pump fake or you just focus on the basket and dont take your eyes off of it. the player in your face will either foul you or you will get the shot off so all is ok. plus you could fadeaway to give you more breathing room

Don't even think about there being someone in your face, just focus on the rim and basket, and release the ball quickly.

I got two suggestions. First, you might wanna cross him up a lil bit, then shoot it up. Another thing u can do is just pumpfake him and score in his face.

i do the exact same thing, either pass it off, or concentrate on the rim, but dont fade away, unless u really practice that, because it will just make the shot harder.
