It depends on what you consider the "final journey" do you mean while Poseidon still had him wandering or afterwards? I would go with this: after wandering for 10 years, his final journey is home where he sees his house full of suitors. He pays tribute to Poseidon and asks for Athena's help to rid his house of so many men on his own. (his bow and arrow & some tricks, like dressing as a beggar, helps him do it).

I read this last year, and this is what I remember...
Not in order...

-Sirens (beautiful women who draw men to them by singing)
-Maelstrom (whirlpool)
-Calypso (a nymph on the island Ogygia who keeps her beloved Odysseus there for a while as a prisoner)
-Circe (a witch who transforms Odysseus and his men into swine, or pigs)
-Cyclops (one-eyed monster)
-Lotus Eaters (um...they did drugs)
-Poseidon (set a storm on the seas when Odysseus was sailing them)
-Hermes (that god with the flying shoes who was sent from Zeus to free Odysseus from Ogygia and Calypso)
-Scylla (sea monster, Odysseus faced him at the same time as the Maelstrom)
-Hades (Odysseus went there to talk to Tieresias, a seer)
