Do cells of the same species vary in size? If so, to what degree do they vary?

Sure they do. Cell size is determined to no small degree by function.

For example, in humans some neurons are more than 1.5 meters long (yes... that's a single cell that's longer than some people are tall). Sperm cells, on the other hand, don't have even all the parts that most of your cells have and aren't much more than a micrometer wide.

Those extremes are a difference of about 15 million times. LOTS of variance!
