specifics of my laptop:
-Intel Core 2 Duo
-Processor T7200 - 2GHz
-NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900GS with 256MB VRAM
-2046 MB RAM
-200 GB

What do you think about it?
Would a REGULAR desktop be more powerful than my laptop?

That's a killer piece of hardware there. I don't think a desktop would do much better.

Hi,

It all depends on what you mean by REGULAR desktop. If you're referring to a similar config on a desktop, than the answer is yes. A desktop with an E6400 (2.GHz Core 2 Duo), 2Gigs of RAM and a 7900GS would be better than the laptop, mainly because the laptop works on a battery (which it constantly tries to preserve by "underclocking" almost all of the parts, e.g. CPU, which, when on battery, works half as fast to preserve the battery and minimise power usage). Plug it in, and you'll have two identical systems. But than again, if you plug your laptop into a wall power outlet, it won't be so portable anymore, would it ;)....

yes a little but the main point is it would have more storage
