I have it and was able to conceive and carry, but only on metformin and using clomid to help me out. It's a real bummer, but it can be overcome. Good luck and you're not alone.

I have PCOS. I am 28 and have been TTC for 2+ yrs. I was diagnosed about 1.5 yrs ago, and my doctor put me on Metformin. This is a great pill! It got me regular for the first time basically ever, and Actually has me ovulating now. Also I lost like 30 lbs. in the first six months. However, I also had blocked fallopian tubes (recently cleared- THANKS DOC!!) so that is why I still wasn't getting pregnant after the metformin. I also have two girlfriends with PCOS, both on Metformin, one has one baby and the other two children, so don't give up, there is still definitely a huge possibility you will conceive. GOOD LUCK!!

My wife was diagnosed with PCOS and we conceived a child without any fertility. The issue is what is causing the PCOS. In her case, it was her weight. The moment she lost 10% of her body weight is when she conceived. I am not trying to be mean, but often weight can be an issue. Other issues can also be that you may be border line diabetic or have diabetes. These can also cause "PCOS" symptoms. Everyone else recomends Metformin, our child is also a metformin baby. Metformin is usually used for diabetics, but it can regulate you and help you to loose weight. It is also considered a fratility drug.

My 22 year old daughter was just diagnosed with PCOS. We have been doing research on-line plus reading the info the doctor gave her. She hasn't yet tried to conceive so I can't answer that question, but I did want to let you know it is called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, just in case you want to do a search on it. We had never heard of it before my daughter's diagnosis, so I will be interested to see what others have to say in response to your question.

I have PCOS, although I have not tried to concieve yet.
My best advice is to make sure that your health care provider is familiar with PCOS. If possible see an OB/GYN that can assist you in your efforts to concieve with PCOS
:-) Best of Luck!

I have it and now have 3 kids thanks to fertility drugs. I would look into taking Metformin, if that doesn't help regulate your cycles then look into a lose dose fertility med. Good Luck!
