Jack Thompson is the guy who is trying to get Grand Theft Auto pulled off the shelves and consistantly files lawsuits against game makers. He has never won a single case.

I do believe that video games have the potential to be extremely addictive and in some cases lead to violent, dangerous behaviour.
HOWEVER, at the same time, Jack Thompson is just a right wing Republican Fundamentalist who refuses to listen to anyone's opinion but his own. Two gamers started a 'Flowers For Jack' project, in which gamers pooled their money to send Jack Thompson a huge flower arrangement along with a polite, well thought out letter attempting to open a dialogue between Jack Thompson and the gaming community over issues such as stereotyping of gamers among other things. And what did the good man say?
"Discard them along with the decency you discarded long ago. I really don’t care. Grind them up and smoke them if you like.”
That was his response. Such a nice man he is.
I guess he doesn't want to admit to himself that gamers are very much capable of intelligent conversation.

He makes stupid and groundless accusations such as his claims that the Sims 2 creators feature full frontal nudity complete with detailed genitalia in the game. Those are are created by mods, not the creators themselves. He really doesn't bother doing his homework.

So in short, yep.
