Unfortunately, the two don't go together. The best free drink service will be in the high roller rooms.

After that, your best bet is to play at a table, tip well, and be there during a not-busy time.

If you are spending a lot and haven't seen a drink girl for awhile, let the pit boss know.

And my secret is to order doubles each time. This way you should be covered until she makes it back around.

There aren't really "best casinos on a budget". Most of the 3 star and up places will have higher minimums on busy nights. This may be $10 or $20. If it's $20, there may be ONE $10, and you can guarantee that it will be full.

Places in downtown and outside of town may have lower minimums. I stayed at Red Rock and the minimums were pretty low - $5 or $10 on most nights. The table service was great one night and awful the next. And the comps SUCK. But, play enough and you may get a free rice bowl at Panda Express.

Good luck and have fun on your trip. : )

as long as you tip a waitress she'll be back... I suggest giving a little bigger tip to start, so that she remembers you and then a $1 a time when she comes back.....You will never be waiting long. That is what I do at the Tropicana where I stay.
And I think older casinos and those off strip tend to pay better.
I like the Trop. I am in their players club and though I am not a big time gambler, I still get steal of a deal rates...I am staying for 5 nights for $135 plus tax, TOTAL as 2 of my nights are free!!

Wow, thats one bitter bartender. I work as a bartender in a high powered restaurant in Dallas. 20+ years in the restaurant biz. Just tip out and you'll be taken care of. Sometimes you run into guys like the above in Vegas, they are just burned out on customer contact plus the pressure of balancing that bar drawer (or else) grinds em down, plus the eye in the sky doe'snt help either. I've sat at bars in Vegas where some bartender will ignore me due to whatever prejudices they may have. What because I'm in a Tshirt and jeans you are going to ignore me??? Fellow bartenders, the fraternity of bartenders, I tip out well above the common man. I just laugh....you never know who you are waiting on. Deliberately F up my service and I will have absolutley no remorse about stiffing you or you can do the right thing and be a very happy man when the tip comes in. I spend about a week a year out there. Usually down at the Flamingo or Ballys. I have stayed off strip at the Orleans and thats a good local place and more friendly than the brutal, screw the tourist, strip. By the way bartenders get about 6-7 bucks an hour in Vegas plus tips...in Big D we only get $2.13 per hour plus tips..so some don't know how good they have it. Sheet, free drinks and comps is how Vegas got started, whatever happend to good old Sands/Stardust Vegas????. ........Man, that guy was bitter. LOL

All casinos give you free drinks if you are gambling. The amount of time you wait depends greatly on how busy they are. Usually you don't wait any longer than five minutes from the time you sit down. Figure another five minutes for her to come back with the drink and you are done.

The best casinos on a budget are on Fremont Street (at least for food and drinks you are willing to pay for).

Gamble at the bar will help. Giving big tips helps. Playing a lot of money helps. Hitting the gaming rooms at off hours helps. My best results were the Gold Nugget, Terribles, and the Orleans.
