My Sound Card doesn't work anymore and its very old, so I decided to remove it until I get a modern one.

Now how do I enable it so that I can plug in the speaker wires on the motherboard? I did this and there was no sound input available.

I installed AC97 and it says that it cannot start, I reinstalled it and still... C-Media still has the same problem, or i guess there both the same.

When It was working, it was in the input, but when I play a sound file, I hear nothing.

So how do I get my sound working? Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Go to the website for the manufacturer of your motherboard, you should be able to download the correct drivers from there. You should also check the BIOS settings to make sure that the onboard sound is enabled.

Go into the bios of your computer, at startup. Look through the different pages until you see where you can activate onboard sound.

Restart the PC, and before it restarts, press DEL and enter into setup, then keep searching till you find something called "Default Sound Onboard (on / off?)"... Or something similar. Well, turn it on. That's it.
