The DS lite (Is cheaper about £100 & comes in different colours) does have the ability to go on the Internet with Internet browser cartridge, there is also a media player that allows the DS to have music and films - these are down-loadable from sites e.g. www.alluc.org. games can range from £10 to £25. the Ds is more compact than the PSP.
PSP (£140) can go on the Internet without the need of a cartridge. It can play music & short films with out buy any player. The PSP has been out longer so there is more available. games range from £10 - £30
Its really about what you want from a console and what games you want to buy now & in the future - as more consoles are coming out there is more competition between companies and so some games are only release on particular consoles.

DS Lite- its got 2 screens and touchscreen, while psp has 1 screen and no touchscreen. Internet capability is available in games, and a web browser is already in Japan and is coming to the US. Plus, it's cheaper. Oh, did I mention the games are smaller?

GET THE DS!!!!!!!!!!1 i have a psp and i got it 3 weeks ago i thought i was going to be fun but iwasent after a few days the games arent fun u can only get bad demos but the only good thingis that u ca put music ....................i wanna get a ds soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad + its funner thatn a psp like 100000000000000000000 x more

Definately the PSP. the nintendo is okay and sum of the games are cool. but. the PSP can do such more many things. like for me i'ma techy. i downgraded my PSP to v1.50 so with that you can put actual playstation games on there. not only that but they came out with a nice camera for you to take pictures on. it's really really nice. TRUST ME.

PSP It is way better looking,well to me it is and you can do more stuff on it and i hate the screen on the ds

PSPs are waaay better! You can watch movies, listen to music, play games, download photos and get on the internet!

I have both, i think it is hard to pick. But psp has internet and so much more things you can do with it so get psp...
