I'm trying to settle a bet with my boyfriend.

OK guys...stop with the bashing. I just want factual answers. I don't, repeat DO NOT care about what you think about the Leafs or Domi. I just want to know where I can find out whether or not he was a captian. My bf swears he once saw a picture of Domi with the C on his jersey but he doesn't really know anything about hockey anyway (hence the bet).

It;s possible he mistook Domi for someone else (probably Captain Crunch)

Domi did in fact wear the 'C'. It is said that it was during preseason when Sundin got injured.

The answer is no. Outside of 2 games played with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1989-1990 Domi played for the Leafs from 1994 through to 2006. Wendel Clark was the captain in 1994, Doug Gilmour took over and Mats Sundin since 1997.

No. Don't forget the duties of the Captain is he (or an Alternate) are the ones that the Referee will explain the calls he has made to, especially when he doesn't want to skate over and tell the coach and especially when there is a big mess of several penalties. The Captain then gets that message over to the coach. Well you don't choose someone to be captain who is likely to be already in the penalty box when all these explanations happen.

Your b/f either saw a TML logo, or the various league and franchise patches they have worn over the years, or mistook him for Wendel Clark.

Edit: I was searching yahoo by image, found a bobble head with a C. lol. No, check out the second link.

No, Doug Gilmour was captain from like 1992 until he was traded in February of 1997 to New Jersey. After that, the captain of the Leafs was Mats Sundin, who has held the position ever since.

Tie Domi has never been a captain for any teams he has played for in the NHL that would be like giving a monkey a license to drive a plane. LOL

miss_ant…>>>what that guy said he was wrong he was never captain.

here's a clip of ti domi and his cheap shots and when reinforcements arrive he backs off like a *****.http://youtube.com/watch?v=r9WfPYt30Go

no

although he'd fit the description of a typical leafs captain, which is someone who is incapable of leading a team to the cup.

I don't think he ever wore the C full-time, he might have wore it temporarily while the real captain was injured.

sorry i can't help anymore than that.
