I just got out of the movie, and was very impressed by it. I've always been a fan of "war movies" and/or anything with an historic/epic basis, but while I enjoyed this movie, it made me feel quite different. While part of me still wanted to be the brave soldier that dies proudly for his country, another part of me was deeply saddened that this type of thing STILL happens...any similar feelings, or is this just part of me growing up?

I believe that the point of film is to entertain...but historic film topics should cause you to think. I don't think any soldier "wants" to die for his / her country...but they have the courage to do so. The film, for me, showed a fine example of what honor and integrity is. Courage and the willingness to stand firm by what you hold to be right, regardless of the cost. The courage and honor of those men is rarely seen in this world today and if it has made you feel something strongly, then I think the purpose has been achieved. It truly is a sadness that war is still happening...but it is a wonder to behold the people who are willing to stand firm and fight for what they think is right.

I think you are supposed to come away from the movie hating Persians and loving the Marines but really you are right. War pretty much sucks and has been going on way too long and always for money (gold).

i like to work out yet another Serenity movie additionally. i understand at one time there exchange into talks of growing to be 2 extra video clips lower back whilst Serenity got here out, yet by no capacity heard something new on condition that then. edit Toni - truthfully 2 of the biggest character died, additionally with the speaking of two extra video clips, the have been spoke of as though they could incorporate the biggest characters that died, they might have taken place earlier the activities of Serenity or used as flash backs to fill in the story. additionally there is countless un-answer questions left to Firefly, they might answer a number of those approximately Shepherd and his connections to the alliance. If carried out actual, i wouldnt concepts a Zelda movie based off the sport yet they might desire to maintain on with the sport and not exchange stuff like they did with Doom movie, the place quite of it being the gates of Hell placing out up, they replaced human DNA. Jordan97, the rationalization they didnt make the different video clips exchange into by using fact the 1st movie bombed in theaters. Afraid to declare, you may get a remake of the 1st movie earlier the 2d and third books are made into video clips. I wouldnt concepts look them additionally.

That movie was HORRIBLE and was one big piece of fantastically crafted anti Persian propaganda...

I think it was interesting that the politicians wouldn't send enough troops tho...

The impression I walked away with was that being a martyr for your country in the name of patriotism is supposed to be some great honor...

lets learn from 300 that the best way to win a war is not to support corrupt politicians who send us to die in order to line their own pockets and that a war needs enough soldiers and a great and comprehensive plan.

there's no way they would have won anyways...

the kings wife must have read The Military Wifes handbook... but ironically as soon as her husband went away she got all sluttied up for the evening and called that crooked jerk over to her house and instead of fighting him like the great proud strong woman she was supposed to be simply took her clothes and let him get his way... not a very intelligent woman... she was actually surprised when he double crossed her.... what a bunch of losers...

What WASN'T wrong with that movie!!!?

i don't think it makes you less of a pacifist. i'm against war, but that won't stop me from seeing a great movie, even if it's war related. but feeling sad about people that died doesn't make you any less of a man, i means you really are growing up.

I haven't seen it yet, but my philosophy on movies and current events is...it's just a movie. I don't take any of them to heart.
