There are some many thing you can do, You can decopague the book with papers and add chipboard with your name. You can stamp inspirational thought on the paper... I will attach a few ideas for you :-) Have fun with it, use your own style and favorite colors and maybe even a photo the inspires you! The decopauge is very cheap you can lay your paper on your binder and modge Podge over it (They sell modge padge at Walmart) you can get a finish that is matte or glossy... You just paint over it... You can use spray adheive to stick it down first :-) Just have fun with it, add bling an stickers... So many possibilities!

I'd say sharpies are very cute and do not wash or wear off.Foam stickers are good to, and so is glitter glue, and pictures of friends. But it all depends on what type of binder you have, because you oviousbly can't do that to a non plastic one. I had a non plastic one and i painted it blue with glitter and it came out wicked pretty. If you do have plastic see ideas up top. You could also like cut out letters from a magazine to spell out your name or something, and also get or make keychains to hang off your binder.
Hope this helps,

There are all kinds of cute (or even elegant) things you can do to covers of various types with polymer clay... from small individual itesms to covering the whole front with decorative patterns of clay, etc. If you're interested in that idea, check out this page at my site for all kinds of inspiration:
http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/books.htm
(... click on the whole category called
"COVERS --notebook, journal, other" ...)
For more inspiration on flat polymer clay things you could do for your covers, see this page too:
http://glassattic.com/polymer/cards.htm
P.S. For many but not all of those things, you could use an air-drying clay (like Makin's or Hearty, etc.... or even Creative Paperclay then paint over it with acrylics) instead of a polymer clay (like Premo, FimoClassic, Kato Polyclay) if you wanted.
(... btw, if using a polymer clay and making thin things or things with projections, stay away from the weaker polymer clays like Sculpey and to a lesser extent FimoSoft)
Have fun!
