I think it's important but I always leave a bad first impression. People really need to get to know me to see who I am.

It most certainly is-- a first impression about anyone or anything is always ingrained in your memory for some reason, even if you later have a change of thought on that person or thing.

usually yes. if you make a bad 1st impression, that's what ppl are always going to remember you for if you don't see them for a while after.
