some people say, the universe is decreasing the speed that it's expanding... then ever sooooo slowly, it'd start shrinking.... til it's the size of a marble, than the big bang would happen all over again. but im thinking the universe is expanding because of inertia?

Not that it needs to expand but it is all physics. Ever watch a fire work? It explodes and the teeters out. Well the theory of the big bang is that the explosion was so powerful that it just will keep expanding forever till it either teeters out like a fire-work or if there is a big crunch, all the matter coming back together now a big crunch can only happen if there is enough matter in the universe. Matter=gravity...And if there is not enough it will be a really lonley night sky in about 10 billion years.

It doesn't "need" to it just does. There is no "enough" about it, It's not like the universe is thinking about something. It expands from natural laws of physics.

the universe needed to expand at first.
It is a finite entity so it will come to an end.
If it continued to expand it could not come to an end.
At this time the fabric of space is shrinking,it's density is becoming less and it will eventually go out of existence.

I dunno Bao, I've heard that the expansion rate of the Universe is accelerating. Which is a mystery of course because you need some kind of force applied to be able to accelerate. Most astronomers believe it's due to Dark Energy. There is of course no conclusive evidence that Dark Energy exists. Why we started expanding in the first place is of course attributed to the Big Bang. If we will ever stop or if it will ever reverse is the topic of much speculation.

First fallacy... the Universe doesn't "Need". It merely does. And it IS expanding. The rest of the question is irrelevant.

It doesn't need to do anything, it IS expanding. We don't exactly know why. Everything is just redshifted (moving away from us) I don't think that anything would happen if it didn't expand, it just does.

It is simply expanding and its speed of expansion is increasing.
