Why do people think & claim to support the troops while not supporting the war or even the president no matter what party he is. I'm not just talking this war but all wars back to Vietnam back to Korea back to WW2 back to WW1 so on. A soldier is suppose to fight when called upon to do so no matter the reasons or politics or even the support of the "people" but when you claim to support him while speaking out against or doubting him & what he is doing & risking his life for it just wrong. You cant fight a war without loses you cant always perdict the enemy or a battle but just like in sports you have to let the players do their jobs. We call people who like a team or even a player say the Yankee's or Barry Bonds when they are winning or hitting homers but who guerr them when they aren't is just arrrgh. Its life there are good days & bad & you can't support someone yet not support what they do its contradicting & unfair. Why do people think you can when you can't?

No one wants war or people to die but sadly war for the past & time being seems to be a part of life & you cant claim to support the troops but ask or expect them to win with their hands time, over night, & without some bad days especially when congress ties their hands in the hope of saying political careers & PR. Too me it should be criminal for people to flip flop & for people like Hillary Clinton, Obama, other democrats to claim that holding money from the troops & then putting benchmarks to the money in order for them to get it when they need it. When a unit goes to war & everyone comes back its funny how noone but family is there lining the streets especially from the media. But if a unit goes & gets hit especially extra hard then everyone comes out supposeably in support & yet if you ask most soldiers they say they'd rather not be known for their loses but for the successes & what those whom didnt make it home worked hard for to accomplish.

This is to S.K. doubt you will see this but in case. Your "Changing the job" redictulious especially since no one especially Democrats have stated what that their "new" job is. It helps to finish one job before taking another job especially if as the media & democrats claim that we are under manned military wise. A comment that I find funny given that they & their dictator crony Billary cut funding & down sized the military during his evil reign. Does it make sense for a painter painting a house to in the middle of the job pick up & leave one job claiming to have another one just because he doesnt like the color or that particular job? Face it you can't support the troops & not support what they do. You dont have to support the war itself but you cant claim to support them & cut funding or tie their hands yet expect them to do the job they are currently doing. There is a difference between supporting them & what they do without supporting the war. Using them as political pons is wrong

Having Been a Soldier for 18 years. You can not say you support the troops and then say you do not support the war because you think the President is wrong or you do not like him. This DID NOT happen in WW1 or WW2 or Korea, it started only during Vietnam and is a sickness a cancer which is eating through society, Can you imagine during WW2 when during a training mission preparing for D-Day, the US lost in one day the same amount of serviceman that has been lost the entire phase of WW3 in the Iraq theatre of Operations, and had Joe snuffy public civilians started to complain then and say "The war is wrong, Hitler is not so bad, we need a time table, when are we pulling the troops home etc etc: you can perhaps see how pathetic that is and its equally pathetic today. Secondly what is it with Civilians who come with this garbage about Oh we support the troops thats why we want to bring them home, what are they going to do put us in wee sentry boxes like toy soldiers and keep us safe. Get one thing straight Mr and Mrs Civilian, we join the Military to go into harms way, to be in danger to protect you on foriegn shores to prevent the enemy coming to home soil. Support the troops support the President, A vote for Democrats is a Vote for Al Quaida.

I think and claim to support the troops and i kind of support the war. Though i think the president is a moron.. However I feel confident in saying i support the troops. you see in the past 5 years my husband has been gone 4 of them to iraq, afganstan , iraq again and training. Ive hugged many soldiers good bye, made many meals , and have woken up to make breakfast for 12 soldiers because the barracks didnt have room for them so they slept at our house.

Do i totally support the war. no i dont. however i will not put our soldiers down, nor will i get on their case for they do.
