Brabus is another company that makes after-market high-performance parts for Mercedes cars.

Kompressor is the German word for Compressor which is what they call the super-charger. A Mercedes that says Kompressor on it has a super-charged engine to give it more power.

AMG used to be a company that took Mercedes cars, and hopped up the engines and body parts and suspension and resold them still as new cars. They were so successful that Mercedes Benz finally bought them out and kept the name and use it on their high-performance versions of their regular cars.

Brabus, AMG, Lorinser, Kleeman, Carlsson are all tuning companies who provide body, engine, suspension, brakes, and performance enhancements for Mercedes Benz cars. You can basically suit up your Mercedes with just a body kit to make it look sportier, or install a Kompressor to boost your horsepower by 5%-50%, or do anything in between. Kompressor is German for supercharger. AMG was bought out by Mercedes Benz little over 10 years ago, and you can now buy AMG Mercedes cars with warranty straight form the dealerships.

Braubus is a package that different mercedes vehicles come with. Basically it is a package that has a bunch of different options. In some cases the engine is modified as well. Same with AMG, it is a package. It was an independent company based in Florida that Daimler ended up buying out. Kompressor is like saying "turbo" charged. Mercedes just uses a different term.

Let's start with the Kompressor. That's German for Supercharger
Brabus and AMG are customized versions of Mercedes models. For example I own a SLK55 AMG. It is the SLK 280/350 with the V8 engine added and a lot of trim and suspension changes to make it look and perform better.
The Brabus Models are similar.

Braubus is the brand that makes a different body for the car. Just like how BMW has DINAN. Kompressor is just a lame excuse for its sorry "sports" cars. AMG is the top-of-the-line, fully loaded cars that sport the famous 2 digit numbers. There are two digits you will find in AMG cars, 55, 65, and 63.

Random has it down. AMG & Braubus where both independant car racing guys that formed comanies to sell to public. MB worked with AMG on a couple of cars in the late 80's and bought them out in the 90's.

Brabus makes body kits for luxury cars but it's well known for it's widebody kits...3 piece spoiler kits for the front, sides, and rear with a wing...

Kompressor is a type of engine

AMG is Mercedes Benz's in house tuning department...they find ways to make the base models look and perform better i.e. more expensive.
